practice offers skin evaluations and treatment plans that incorporate the use of results-oriented skin care products. These products are specially formulated for each particular skin type. Most importantly, the products are easy to use, fragrance-free, color-free,
PABA-free and very affordable. You do not have to be a surgical patient to have healthier, brighter, smoother skin.
During scheduled consultations, patients receive evaluation and overall analysis of their skin's condition including, but not limited to, acne, sun-damaged and aging skin. A customized treatment protocol will be recommended, as well as the length of time to achieve the best possible results.
A Summary of Active Medical Grade Skin Care Products
Tretinoin - exfoliates the keratin layer and builds collagen and elastin, improves fine lines, opens and shrinks pores, evens brown spots and improves surface roughness
Obagi - contains a skin lightener, Hydroquinone 4%, and aids in exfoliation, reduces brown spots and hyperpigmenation
Vivité - contains antioxidants which aid skin health, protects against sun damage and aging of the skin. Also has prescription strength alpha hydroxy acids, which are excellent exfoliants, improving fine lines and surface roughness.

Facial Shaving
Women of all ages can benefit from facial shaving. Shaving helps to soften surface irregularities by exfoliating the top layer of dead skin cells. Exfoliating your face by shaving stimulates your skin, producing new skin cells and collagen which gives the skin a smoother appearance. Shaving also helps active-ingredient products such as Retin-A and hydroquinone to penetrate more easily. It can also soften the appearance of fine lines by removing the layer of dead skin which contained them.
Shaving not only exfoliates dead skin cells but also removes any unwanted facial hair. The hair will not grow back any thicker, darker, or coarser than before shaving.
Instructions for shaving:
- Cleanse your skin throughly with a non-medicated cleanser; Cetaphil, Neutrogena or Johnson's Purpose are good over-the-counter products.
- Lather your face with shaving cream.
- Using a ladies' disposable razor, shave your forehead, cheeks, chin and neck. You can shave in any direction. Make sure you are in front of a mirror when shaving, and use caution to avoid shaving your eyebrows or nicking yourself.
- Rinse your face thoroughly with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.
- You may now apply your normal skin care products. Remember to always apply products with active ingredients first before applying moisturizer.
- Apply a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen before applying make-up. The sunscreen should be SPF 15 or higher and should contain microfine titanium dioxide and microfine zinc oxide. Excessive exposure to the sun will stimulate the cells in your skin to produce pigment, causing uneven, mottled skin tone, as well as sun damage that can lead to skin cancers.
